Venetia Kapernekas began exhibiting art by founding and directing Icebox¸ the gallery in Athens¸ Greece¸ where she created an international contemporary venue for artists' projects and curatorial endeavors
between the years of 1994 - 1998. In 1999¸ she relocated the gallery to the New York art scene with Venetia Kapernekas Fine Arts¸ a project space located on the same premises on 26th Street.
Venetia Kapernekas Gallery originated in 2005 as a partnership between Alexander Gray and Venetia Kapernekas.
The gallery represents a select group of emerging visual artists and produces events and projects in conjunction with its exhibition program.

The gallery is located at 526 West 26th Street, 8th fl. Suite 814, between 10th & 11th Aves. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. For inquiries, email info@venetiakapernekas.com. Unsolicited submissions from artists will not be accepted.
